How it works
Percentage decrease compares how much a value has fallen against where it started. The formula is:
(Original Value − New Value) ÷ Original Value × 100
Example. You had 120 units and now you have 90. The drop is 30. 30 ÷ 120 × 100 = 25. So the value has fallen by 25 percent.
When this helps
- Price reductions and discounts
- Falling traffic, sales or engagement
- Stock levels and inventory checks
- Everyday bills and cost cutting
The goal here is speed and clarity. Type the numbers, get the answer, move on with your task.
