Percentage Decrease Calculator

Enter two numbers and see the percentage decrease from the original to the new value. Clean layout, clear result.

If the new value is higher than the original, use the percentage increase calculator.

How it works

Percentage decrease compares how much a value has fallen against where it started. The formula is:

(Original Value − New Value) ÷ Original Value × 100

Example. You had 120 units and now you have 90. The drop is 30. 30 ÷ 120 × 100 = 25. So the value has fallen by 25 percent.

When this helps

  • Price reductions and discounts
  • Falling traffic, sales or engagement
  • Stock levels and inventory checks
  • Everyday bills and cost cutting

The goal here is speed and clarity. Type the numbers, get the answer, move on with your task.
