About this calculator
The calculator totals your wall run, adjusts the drop length for trimming and for the pattern repeat. For straight matches we round the drop up to the next repeat. For half drops we use a repeat of twice the pattern size to keep alignment. Drops per roll are the floor of roll length divided by the adjusted drop length, then we divide required drops by drops per roll and add an optional extra margin before rounding up to whole rolls.
Subtract only full-height openings, such as doors, if you choose to subtract anything. Windows are usually not subtracted, as you still need full drops to match patterns above and below.
